Spokeswoman Millicent Kgowedi advised all residents not to use tap water or any other water in the Diepsloot area until the testing process was over.
“Residents should make use of our mobile water tankers or the two water tankers stationed in extension 2 and 7. Both are situated next to the clinics,” Kgowedi said.
She said provision had been made to ensure the tankers would provide enough water for the people.
Testing is being done to establish if the water is contaminated, which areas were affected and what may have caused the contamination. - Sapa
