A teacher has appeared in court after he allegedly knocked over and killed two primary school pupils in Mankweng.
|||A Limpopo teacher appeared in court on Wednesday after he allegedly knocked over and killed two primary school pupils in Mankweng, police said.
Constable Moses Molepo said William Tshwale, 37, a teacher from the Ramabu High School in Dikgale, appeared in the Makweng Magistrate's Court.
“The matter was postponed to Thursday for his lawyer to be present and for his bail application.”
Tshwale faces two charges of culpable homicide. He was driving home from work around 3.30pm on Monday when he allegedly struck the children. Maite Matlala and Karabo Tauyatswala, both seven-years-old, were from the Sebayeng Primary School in Mankweng.
Both died on the scene. – Sapa
