The bail application of former Nigerian athlete Ambrose Monye has been postponed for the third time.
|||The bail application of former Nigerian athlete Ambrose Monye was postponed for the third time this week in the Pretoria Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
SABC news reported that the State asked for a postponement as there was no court room available.
Monye, 37, is accused of involvement in the murder of Pretoria woman, Chanelle Henning. The trial will resume on May 3.
The bail application was set down for three days from April 24, but could not be heard for the past two days as the presiding magistrate was sick.
Monye and his co-accused Andre Gouws and Preshan Singh last appeared in court at the end of March. Singh would appear again in court on May 3 with Gouws, who was denied bail in March.
Two other accused, Willem Pieterse and Gerhardus du Plessis, are already serving 18-year jail sentences for their roles in the murder. – Sapa
