A Limpopo woman will appear in court after her four-year-old son was murdered.
|||A Limpopo woman will appear in the Bolobedu Magistrate's Court on Monday after her four-year-old son was strangled, police said on Sunday.
Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi said the 21-year-old woman was arrested on Thursday, after an autopsy revealed the boy was strangled.
She previously claimed to police she was a babysitter looking after the boy when he died on April 19. Mulaudzi said she later admitted that her ex-boyfriend forced her at gunpoint to kill her son. She claimed the boy reminded him of another of her ex-boyfriends that he had murdered.
The man was wanted by police in a separate case of murder committed in December last year.
“(He) is on the run and efforts to capture him are underway,” Mulaudzi said. - Sapa
