But despite models Jessica Leandra Dos Santos and Tshidi Tshamana’s public apologies, the SA Human Rights Commission (HRC) is still being inundated with complaints.
By yesterday the HRC had received more than 120 complaints about the two models since their scathing remarks on Twitter last week Friday.
HRC spokesman Vincent Moaga said since the inception of social networking sites, there had been an increase in the number of racist complaints.
However, he said it was difficult to track down the culprits because users often created fictitious profiles.
