|||Eleven men appeared in the Bityi Periodical Court for the murders of two men near Mthatha, Eastern Cape police said on Saturday.
Lt-Col Mzukisi Fatyela said the men, charged with murder and the kidnapping of a 40-year-old man, appeared in court on Friday.
The case was postponed to January 19, 2012 for bail applications.
Fatyela said police arrested 10 of the men between Tuesday and Wednesday, with the last man arrested on Thursday.
Police were searching for the 40-year-old man, who was kidnapped on Monday, when they discovered the body of the 37-year-old man in a veld near the Luqolweni informal settlement, 157km west of Mthatha, on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old man's body was later found on Wednesday.
Fatyela said the deaths were suspected to be linked. - Sapa
