Lt-Col Ronel Otto said Stanley Malwamba, Casamira Mzumira, Joseph Mubanga and Abraham Mulwanda would remain in custody.
“The men face a charge of the possession of drugs and were expected back in the Mokopane Magistrate's Court on June 20.”
Otto said a truck which tried to cross the Grobler's border post from Botswana into South Africa was searched at about 11am on Wednesday.
“Thirty bags, weighing 50kg, containing white powder were found hidden underneath other bags.”
She said the white powder was positively tested and identified as Methaqualone, a substance used to manufacture Mandrax, also known as “buttons”. - Sapa
