Sergeant Puleng Motshoeneng said they were linked to the deaths of two men, whose bodies were found in January and April.
The first victim, a 31-year-old man, was found with 24 stab wounds next to Bellas Bar at Manny's shopping complex in Welkom on January 27. In April, a 25-year-old man was found dead with two stab wounds at the same venue.
Motshoeneng said those arrested were members of a township gang, known as RAF3. Residents tipped police off about the men's whereabouts. - Sapa
