|||Cape Town - The case of a 16-year-old girl who allegedly kidnapped a three-week-old baby was rolled over in the Oudtshoorn Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, the National Prosecuting Authority said.
Spokesman Eric Ntabazalila said the girl would appear on Thursday as the court still needed to gather information.
The teen was found with the missing baby in Ladysmith on Tuesday and arrested. The baby's mother left the child outside a Oudtshoorn supermarket with her 14-year-old nephew last Thursday when she went to withdraw money from a local bank. The girl allegedly asked the nephew to go and buy a memory stick with a R10 note, while the biological mother was at the bank. She and the baby then disappeared. - Sapa
