While the cause of the accident was not known, it appeared the bakkie rolled several times before catching alight at 11am, Netcare911 spokesman Chris Botha said in a statement.
Paramedics were unable to put out the blaze and rescue the man, who was trapped inside the wreckage.
When the fire services doused the flames, medics examined the man and declared him dead on the scene. - Sapa
