Two men accused of killing a KwaZulu-Natal farmer appeared in the Vryheid Magistrate's Court on Friday, police said.
Christian Smith, 43, and Andries Maviyezulu, 28, would be back in court on August 13 for a bail application, Captain Thulani Zwane said.
They remained in custody.
Police, acting on a tip-off, arrested them on Wednesday night in Mpumalanga.
Gert Uys, 55, was shot and killed in his farmhouse at Swart-Mfolozi on July 31 as he was preparing to pay his employees.
The attackers took R18 000 and a revolver. They fled the scene in the farmer's Toyota Land Cruiser, which was later found abandoned on a gravel road.
Two firearms were recovered during the arrest and would be sent for ballistic tests. The pair face charges of murder and robbery. - Sapa
