The trial of a man accused of raping a five-year-old Limpopo girl was postponed on Monday, police said.
The 28-year-old would be back in the Mankweng Magistrate's Court on August 27 for a bail application, Constable Moses Molepo said.
“It was postponed at the request of the State prosecutor,” he said.
The man and his 26-year-old co-accused allegedly raped the girl between May and June, in Ga-Molepo, in the Mmamatsha area.
She was on her way home from school when she was raped on separate occasions.
The younger accused, facing two other rape charges involving minors, was expected to appear in the same court on August 31. - Sapa
