A woman was arrested in George on Wednesday morning after being found with Mandrax tablets on a bus.
|||A woman was arrested in George on Wednesday morning after being found with Mandrax tablets on a bus, Western Cape police said.
Captain Bernadine Steyn said the woman, 37, was found in possession of 20 955 tablets with an estimated street value of R118 000.
She said police received a tip-off that the drugs would be transported on a bus travelling from Johannesburg.
A police task team followed the bus as it entered George and then searched it when it stopped at a petrol station on the N2 highway, at 8am. - Sapa
