|||A man and a woman were arrested after they were found in possession of dagga in Elandsfontein on Friday, said Ekurhuleni Metro Police.
Spokesman Wilfred Kgasago said a tip-off from hawkers plying their trade opposite Elandsfontein railway station led to the arrest of the two.
Kgasago said the pair masqueraded as hawkers selling sweets and peanuts.
“The male suspect dug a hole next to his tiny sweets' stall to store the dagga and the female suspect used the roof of her gazebo to hide the drug.”
Kgasago said police confiscated dagga with an estimated street value of R3 000.
The two were expected to appear in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Monday, facing charges of possession and dealing in dagga. - Sapa
