Crisis Medical spokesman Dean Macpherson said the pilot was not injured.
“It is believed that the plane took off from Virginia airport and shortly afterwards reported engine trouble... a full emergency landing was then declared,” he said in a statement.
“The plane attempted to land back at Virginia (but) crash-landed on Virginia beach adjacent to the airport.”
The cause of the crash was being investigated, Macpherson said. - Sapa
